Wonda Jewell Cochran, age 85, passed away, Thursday, February 3, 2022, at her home outside of Sikeston, MO.

She was born May 4, 1936, in New Holland, MO to the late Sydney Augusta Finney and Anna Mae (Burton) Finney.  On September 13, 1971, in Morehouse, MO, she married James Cochran who survives of the home.

Wonda was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Morehouse and had worked as a Nurse Assistant most of her life and always took care of and cared for others.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Robbie Allen Cochran of Sikeston; two daughters, Mildred Sue Spurlin of Morehouse, and Naomi Price of Napanoch, NY; one brother Thomas Richard (Shirley) Finney, and one sister Anna Lillian Causey, both of Windfall, IN; one sister in law, Barbara L. Finney; six grandchildren, Lisa Ann Kosier, Rhonda Lynn Elder, Layla Adamyk, William Penderguast, Sean Dennis Price, and Megan Dennis Price; five great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons Milton Eugene Spurlin and James Edward Spurlin; six brothers Marion Finney, Roscoe Oliver Finney, Earnest Edgar Finney, Marvin Sydney Finney, William Franklin Finney, and James Larry Finney; five sisters, Mildred Mae Brown, Dorothy Agnes Finney, Mary Frances Finney, Ethel Laverne Carmack, and Cora Frances Finney; one grandchild Richard Allen Lutes; and a previous husband Eldon Eugene Spurlin.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.  Pastor Ronnie Stevens will officiate.

Interment will follow immediately at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
