Wilma Doris Griffin, age 89, passed away June 5, 2022 at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

She was born July 11, 1932 in Stoddard County, Missouri, daughter of the late William and Malinda Elders Caldwell.

In 1947, she was married to Rueben Ray Griffin, he preceded her in death.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded by four brothers, Fred, Virgil, Hubert, and Jay; and five sisters, Nellie Fredie, Mary, Ethel, and Ruth.

Wilma is survived by three daughters, Brenda Emerson of Sikeston, Sharon Whittley of Florida, and Cathy (John) Carden of Sikeston; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 8, from 12 noon until time of funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Matthew Vroman, pastor of First Baptist Church of Sikeston, will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri under the direction of Ponder Funeral Home.
