Wilma Lee Fritz, age 88, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at her home in East Prairie, MO.  She was born March 22, 1936, in Arkansas, to the late Elmer Redd and Elsay Wasson Redd.  She lived in Michigan for many years and was employed by Premier Tool & Dye Corporation in Berrien Springs, MI for over 35 years.  Wilma loved spending time reading her Bible.  She also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and making quilts.  Her family was most important to her.  Wilma was a member of Full Gospel Church in East Prairie.

On March 15, 1975, in Baroda, Michigan she married Jerry Fritz, who survives of the home in East Prairie.  Wilma and Jerry relocated from Michigan to East Prairie 27 years ago to be closer to her family.

In addition to her husband, survivors include one daughter, Nora Hosford of East Prairie; one son, Rich Hosford of Keeler, MI; three sisters, Nora Hicks of Arkansas, Dora Dooley of Tennessee, and Pearl Rice of Arkansas; two stepdaughters, Loretta Clayton of San Antonio, TX and Diane Krumroy of Baroda, MI; one stepson, Edwin Fritz of Clovis, NM; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wilma was preceded in death by one son, Hershel "Wayne" Hosford; one stepdaughter, Shelby Fritz; two brothers, Hubert Redd and Sammy Redd; and five sisters, Laverne Johnson, Delores James, Vernell Smith, Roseline Gore, and Imogene Dolojsi.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 29, 2024, beginning at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, with Bro. Eric McGruder, pastor of Full Gospel Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at East Prairie Memorial Park.
