William David Gray, 72, of Sherwood, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022.  He was born February 11, 1950 in Borger, Texas to the late John P. Gray, Jr. and Madge Marie Pickens Gray.  David completed his Bachelor of Science degree at University of Cincinnati.  He was a Metallurgical Engineer and Communications Technician, with a twenty year career with Southwestern Bell and AT&T.  David enjoyed reading and had a vast library.  He also enjoyed movies, woodworking and electronics.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John P. Gray, III.

Survivors include his children, Katheryn Claire Gray, David Jason Gray, Kelly Marie Gray and Karen Elizabeth Gray; grandchild, Taylor Gray-Rziemkowski; two great-grandchildren, Linus and Thora; sister, Margaret Jane Laney; sister-in-law, Ann Gray; aunt, Sabre Ernestine Morgan and many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2022 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Brother Terry Fortner officiating.

Interment will at be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Missouri under the direction of Ponder Funeral Home of Sikeston.
