Obituary

Willard Carl Robertson, 68, departed this earthly life on March 9, 2022, peacefully at his home in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Carl was born July 18, 1953, to the late William G. Robertson and Vera Polk in Savannah, Georgia.  He graduated from Evans High School in Orlando, Florida, where he met the love of his life Frankie. They were married on February 28,1975.

Carl proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from Sept 1976 to Sept 1979. Carl and Frankie moved to Missouri in 1993 where he enjoyed most of his life outdoors. He went on to be a professional painter where he shared his love and passion for the arts. His biggest passion in life was his family and children. Carl's proudest accomplishment was becoming a grandpa and enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and especially his great grand babies for the remainder of his days. He touched a lot of hearts and was a community dad to many. He will be greatly missed.

Willard is survived by his best friend and wife of 47 years Frankie Robertson his children Wendy Robertson (David Nichols), Carlie Robertson, Joshua Robertson, Tommie Johnson and son Gabe Johnson. His beloved grandchildren, Zadie Tucker (Jordan Biggs), Jewell (James) Allmon, Vivian Robertson, Lucas Weston, Zydric Veal, Zia Johnson, Ira Johnson. and 4 Great-grandchildren; Izabella, Adaline , Dezirae, and Serenity. A sister Melody Clark of Florida, plus many nieces and nephews.

Willard is preceded in death by his parents: 4 brothers, Benjamin, Keith, Kent and Robbie Robertson and his great-grandson Tristen M. Allmon.

A public celebration of Life for Willard Carl Robertson will be held Saturday March 26, 2022 from 1pm to 4pm at the Elks Lodge in Cape Girardeau at the pavilion.

Memorial donations may be made in Willard's name to Southeast Hospice.
