Wanda Sue Ellison Laseter, age 84 passed away December 5, 2024, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.
She was born February 17, 1940, to the Late Luther and Alta Cavins Ellison.
On November 7, 1959, at Miner Baptist Church in Miner, MO, she married Robert Laseter Sr. who survives of the home.
Wanda graduated from Sikeston High School in 1959. She was a big part of their farming operation. She was a true farmer's wife. She could market the grain better than anyone. She enjoyed gardening; planting flowers and vegetables, sewing and fishing. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The greatest accomplishment in life was being married for 65 years to the love of her life. She was also a member of the New Savanah Baptist Church.
Including her husband, she is survived by her children, Robert (Dayna) Laseter, Jr. of Carson, IA and Sherry (Gerard) Glastetter of Benton, MO; one brother, Jim (Linda) Ellison of Crowder, MO; two grandchildren Christopher Glastetter and Kyle Glastetter; four great grandchildren, Perin, Henley, Macie and Kate; and she is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Ellison and Kenneth Ellison; and one sister, Brenda Mitchell.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. All donations may be sent to New Savanah Baptist Church.
