Obituary

Wanda R. Dixon 55, died Monday July 08, 2024 at her home in Sikeston, MO surrounded by family.

She was born on January 17, 1969 to the late Acie Dixon SR. and Jewell Hatchett Dixon. Wanda attended Sikeston School's, graduating from Sikeston Senior High, Class of 1988.

Wanda's professional career began in 1996 at Clearview Nursing Center of Sikeston, MO. Wanda's passion of 28 years was to aid in love and care for her beautiful residence. Wanda was patient and very involved in their lives. Wanda will be remembered for the love she expressed and will always be the BEST Certified Nurse Assistant WORLD WIDE, HANDS DOWN!!

Wanda gave cancer a tenacious fight and never once let up! Her captivating smile and energetic personality illuminated any space she entered. She personified the term "less is more" and lived by her motto: "simple, yet classy" and always elegant. Wanda devoted her life to family, whom she deeply loved. Wanda enjoyed dancing, spending time with her family and her dog, Milo. Her inspiring spirit, fierce personality, zest for life, and steadfast determination will be remembered by the lives she touched.

Wanda gave her life to Christ at an early age and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her four siblings, Lillian Gross, Bobbie Ann Hatchett, Robert Hatchett, and Joe Lee Hatchett; along with her special babies, Kyris Gross, Martwan Hill, and Acie Dixon III.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories. She is survived by two sons, Germitious Dixon and Niquavious Dixon both of St. Louis, MO; one daughter Jewellian Dixon of Arkansas. Three grand-daughters, Trinity, Tahir, and A'mya. Three brothers, Terry Hatchett of Arizona, Frank Hayes and Acie Dixon Jr both of Sikeston, MO. Four sisters, Willie Mae (Calvin) Taylor, Rosemary (Lawrence) Jacobs, Vanda Dixon, and Vivian Dixon all of Sikeston, MO. Two special brother-in-laws; Henry Gross Sr. and Brian Bryant and two aunts Bobbie Jean Hatchett and Mary Griffin. Personal Dream Team Vanda (hairstylist), Catherine (interior designer), Amiee and Brittany (caretakers). Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a special friend Larry McCellon.

Public viewing will be Friday, July 19th at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the Life Church in Sikeston, MO. Pastor Timothy Randle will be officiating.

The burial will be at the Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
