Wade Elam McGowan, age 71, of Dexter, Missouri passed away January 5, 2024 at Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

He was born December 11, 1952 in Cottonwood, Arizona, son of the late Jimmy McGowan and Virginia Elam McGowan.

Wade was a veteran of the US Army and had worked as a welder before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, rodeoing, camping, and was an avid outdoorsman. He had owned and operated Chaparral Bar in Cottonwood, Arizona for over 30 years.

He is survived by four sons, Ryan McGowan, Jacob Elmer, Tyler Perkins, and Travis Perkins; two daughters, Amber McGowan and Aimiee McGowan; one brother, Michael McGowan of Arizona; one sister, Patty Cromer of Arizona; and three grandchildren.

No public services are scheduled.
