Tommy Speakman

Aaron Thomas 'Tommy' Speakman, age 86, formerly of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away December 19, 2022 at The Waters of Bristol in Blountville, Tennessee.

He was born January 2, 1936 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, son of the late Henry and Della (Waddell) Speakman.

Tommy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sikeston.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Sue Speakman of Kingsport, Tennessee; two nieces, Debra Nelson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Christina Utterback of Kingsport, Tennessee; two great-nieces; three great-nephews; one great-great-niece; and his longtime caregivers and friends, Jeri and Dewayne Heaton and their family.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Speakman.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 28, at 11:00 a.m.  The Rev. David Orr, interim pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery.
