Jerry Timothy "Timmy" Martin, age 53 of Sikeston, MO, formerly of East Prairie, MO, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.  He was born October 2, 1970, in Sikeston, to the late Jerry Martin and Glenda Kirby Martin and had been a self-employed carpenter. Timmy enjoyed fishing, riding his scooter, and especially loved sitting outside on the porch watching the horses nearby.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Austin (Angie) Martin of Dallas, TX, and Jerry Colton (Carmen) Martin of Farmersville, TX; one sister, Regina (Clyde) Wheatley of Sikeston; and two granddaughters, Clarice Martin and Charlie Breann Martin. Additional survivors include one niece, Jessica Wheatley; three nephews, Jerry Wheatley, Stephen Wheatley, and Trevor Wheatley; as well as several great nieces and great nephews who loved him dearly.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Luther Kirby and Betty June Grubbs Kirby, who raised both Timmy and his sister, Regina.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. The eulogy will be delivered at 5:30 pm by James Childers.

Interment will follow at Anniston Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Haney, Jerry Wheatley, Lucas Wheatley, and Jerry Wheatley, II.
