Obituary

Thomas Myron Oliver, age 80, passed away on September 19, 2024, at his home in Benton, MO.

Tom was born on June 17, 1944, to Eugene and Ruby Oliver in Sikeston, MO.

Tom graduated from Sikeston High School in 1962 and served in the US Navy. Tom enjoyed riding his horse Troubles in The Sikeston Sherriff's Posse.

Tom is survived by his wife Beverly Jo Oliver, his son, Michael (Mary) Oliver; two granddaughters, Anastasia (Christian) Kinsey and Annie (Elijah) Lofton; three great grandchildren; one sister Sherry Lambert; one brother Gerald (Lee) Oliver; brother-in law Ralph Ayers Sr.; three nephews, Allen (Julie) Ayers, Ralph Ayers Jr. and Brent (Rachel) Berry; two great nieces, Lindsay Young and Avery Berry; two great nephews Austin Ayers and Wyatt Berry; one great-great nephew; 4 great-great nieces; sister-in-law, Joyce Cummins (Dick); three nieces, Amanda (Brian) Hughes, Allison (Justin) Reschke, Hannah Finer; two nieces that are also Goddaughters, Emily Surratt and Halli Surratt; one nephew, Hayden Finer; and one nephew who is also a Godson, Jordan Surratt.

In addition to his parents Tom is preceded in death by his first wife Marjorie Oliver the mother of Micheal Oliver; one sister, Brenda Hodges; one brother, Cullen Oliver; two brother-in-laws, Ronnie Lambert and Lonnie Hodges; and two sisters-in-laws, Barbara Ayers and Susan Berry.

A graveside service will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO on Thursday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m. with full military honors.

Tom will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
