Obituary

Thomas Daniel King, 68, passed away on September 20, 2021, in Miner, MO.

Tom was born on February 28, 1953 in Sikeston, MO to Lester and Dorothy King.
He graduated from Sikeston High School in 1971. He was a skilled carpenter and spent the majority of his working years in this field.

Tom was best known for his sense of humor, his kind heart, his love of fishing, and his unbelievable luck at winning scratch-off lottery tickets.

He is survived by two daughters, Amy (James) Lewis of Sikeston, and Bekky (Bobby) Underwood of Scott City, two sons, TJ (Nicole) King of Nixa, MO and Bobby (Hannah) Gray of Sikeston as well as 10 grandchildren; Garren Lewis, Sam Maddox, Emma Lewis, Kamdyn, Declan, Harper, and Linley Gray of Sikeston, Gage and Rustyn Underwood of Scott City, and Holden King of Nixa, MO. One great grandson, Kane Asher Lewis of Sikeston, MO and 2 of his dearest friends: Carol King and Truman Medley.

He is also survived by 7 brothers, David (Branda) King of Springfield, Ron (Pam) King, Bill (Elsie) King, Dean (Sharon) King, Bob (Cindy) King, and Joe (Beth) King all of Sikeston, Don King of Kansas City, MO and 2 sisters, Faye (Roger) Emory of Sikeston and Jane (David) Beardsley of Sturgis, MI, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lester King, his mother, Dorothy King, a daughter, Kendra Nichole Gray of Sikeston, MO and one brother, Kenneth Gaebler of Delta, MO.

A Memorial service will be held at Ponder's Funeral home on Sunday October 10, 2021 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm.
