Thomas Hurte, age 81, of Lilbourn, Missouri, passed away May 28, 2022 at General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Missouri.

He was born January 19, 1941 in Portageville, Missouri, son of the late Oscar Randolph and Agnes Gertrude Cook Randolph.

Thomas was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked for Dunklin County Transit.

On October 26, 1961, he married Norma Williams Hurte, she survives of the home in Lilbourn.

Other survivors include one son, DeWayne Hurte of Portageville, Missouri; one daughter, Sue Ann Hurte-Williams of Oran, Missouri; and five grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by six brothers, Bill Hurte, Jerry Hurte, Shelby Hurte, Robert Hurte, Isaac Hurte, and Johnny Hurte.

There will be a visitation held Wednesday, June 1, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
