Thersie I. Church, age 96, passed away July 18, 2022 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

She was born April 21, 1926 in Swifton, Arkansas, daughter of the late Will and Ida (Foust) Hutchinson.

She was a member of Church of Christ in Blodgett, Missouri and had been employed by Capri Corporation and Gates Rubber Company before retiring.

She loved quilting, gardening, crocheting, and spending time with family, friends and all of her grandchildren. Her family's fondest memories are of her frying chicken on Sundays.

She was married to Alfred C. Church, he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Church is survived by two sons, Boyce (Pamela) Church and Tim (Lisa) Church both of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; two daughters, Carole King of Chaffee, Missouri and Mary (Jim) Cato of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Betty Polston of Clarkston, Michigan, Yvonne Schumaker of Arnold, Missouri, and Loretta Soden of Tuckerman, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren,

, and Hannah Church; 14 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Vern Church and A. C. Church; one son-in-law, Larry King; one sister; and three brothers.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 22, from 12:00 noon until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, Missouri. Rev. Russell Rice will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery at Blodgett, Missouri under the direction of Ponder Funeral Home.

Her seven grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
