Theresa Ann Morgan, age 64, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at her home in East Prairie, Missouri.  She was born November 15, 1958, in Sikeston, Missouri to the late Jack Morgan and Ruth Wilson Morgan.  Theresa was employed by East Prairie Head Start for over 15 years before her retirement.  She was a faithful member of New Beginnings Church in East Prairie.  She always put the Lord first in her life, and deeply loved her children and grandchildren.  Theresa was a graduate of East Prairie High School.  She thoroughly enjoyed crocheting blankets for all the members of her family.  All those who knew her were aware of her deep faith in God, and she had a heart of gold.

On February 23, 1982, she was married to Michael A. Brewer, who survives of East Prairie.  They shared two daughters, Tracy Ann and Verna May.

Survivors include her daughters, Tracy Ann Brewer of East Prairie and Verna May (Corey) Hart of Dexter, Missouri; two brothers, Barry Morgan of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Thomas Morgan of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one sister, Barbara Cates of Jackson, Tennessee; and four grandchildren, James Anthony Coke, Josee Grace Coke, Colton McWhirter and Madison Hart.  The family would like to express their appreciation to Loretta Scott, her caregiver, who became one of her closest friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023, beginning at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.  Bro. Randy Eskew, pastor of New Beginnings Church will officiate.

Interment will be in Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Powers, Brent Ray, Lynn Brewer, Corey Hart, Flynn Ray, and Frankie Brewer.
