Terry Ladd Propst, age 77 of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away October 13, 2023 at St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He was born June 22, 1946 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, son of the late George Thurman and Jo Bollinger-Propst.

On August 26, 1966 in Marble Hill, Missouri, he married Brenda Sue Ragsdale-Propst, she survives of the home in Sikeston.

Terry was a member of Morley Baptist Church.  He graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1968 and in 1969 was was drafted into the U.S. Army and served two years. He was Band Director for Scott County Central for over 30 years before retiring in 2009.  He enjoyed golfing, playing music with his sons, being Music Director at Morley Baptist Church, trout fishing with his sons and grandsons, and going to auctions.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David (Peggy) Propst of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Darrin (Molly) Propst of Dexter, Missouri; one brother, Mitchell (Deronda) Propst of Dexter, Missouri; four grandchildren, Presley Propst of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Brooks (Erin) Propst of St. Louis, Missouri, Travis (Rylie) Propst of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Kyla Propst of Dexter, Missouri; and one great-grandchild, Jesse Propst.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Travis Propst.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 17, from 9:30 a.m. until funeral services at 11:30 a.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Interment service will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.

Pallbearers will be Presley Propst, Brooks Propst, Travis Propst, David Propst, Mitchell Propst, and Darrin Propst.
