Terry D. Merrick, age 73, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at his home in East Prairie, Missouri.  He was born December 9, 1948, in Cairo, Illinois to Ruth Wasson Merrick who survives of East Prairie and the late Billy Vied Merrick.  He was previously employed as a dispatcher for Hall Transportation in Charleston, Missouri.  Terry was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of First Christian Church in East Prairie.  He was an avid Harley motorcycle enthusiast and loved to ride.

In addition to his mother, Ruth Merrick, he is survived by one son, Ricky (Jacki) Merrick of Summerfield, Florida; two brothers, Johnny (Beverly) Merrick of Killeen Texas and Bill (Ruth Ann) Merrick of Thornton, Colorado; and two grandchildren, Sirena Merrick and Koty Merrick.

Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.  No public services are scheduled at this time.
