Terry Grant Lofton, age 67 of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  He was born September 10, 1954, in Dorena, Missouri, to the late Rudy Grant Lofton and Myrtle Virginia Hicks Lofton.  Terry was a farmer in Mississippi County, Missouri, for most of his life, and was employed by Thresher Farms for many years.  In his spare time he loved playing with his grandkids, who were his pride and joy.

On March 13, 1982, in Sikeston, Missouri, he married Lisa Britt Lofton, who survives of the home.

Additional survivors include four sons, Carl Lofton of Sikeston, Missouri, Mark Lofton of Morley, Missouri, Phillip Lofton of East Prairie and Rusty Lofton of East Prairie; one daughter, Sharon Woods of East Prairie; two brothers, Rodger Lofton of Sikeston and Gary Lofton of Sikeston; and two sisters, Peggy Foster of East Prairie and Ruby Moore of Sikeston.  Also surviving are his seven grandkids, Katelyn Woods, Kayleah Woods, Phillip Lofton, Jr., Britton Lofton, Nichole Lofton, Caleb Lofton and Cora Lofton; and a host of relatives and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Larry Lofton and Little Rudy Lofton; and two sisters, Helen Lofton and Lela Rachel.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2022, beginning at 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, with Bro. Sonny Jackson officiating.

Interment will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Carl Lofton, Rusty Lofton, Phillip Lofton, Mark Lofton, John Britt and Daniel Rachel.  Honorary pallbearer will be Rodney Seaton.
