Stella Louise Marcum, age 78, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.  She was born September 14, 1945, in Dorena, Missouri, to the late Willie and Dorothy Burney Marks.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing Bingo and dancing.  Her greatest joy in life was her grandkids.  She loved them dearly.

On November 28, 1961, in Charleston, Missouri, she married Danny Marcum, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include:  two sons, Timmy (Debbie) Marcum and Dan (Christy) Marcum, both of East Prairie; one brother, Kem Marks of Marston, Missouri; one sister, Lisa (Tony) Cogdill of East Prairie; eight grandchildren, Brittney, Ashley, Logan, Braden, Connor, Rachel, Mack, and Luke; and four great grandchildren, Bryleigh, Trenton, Poppy, and Goldie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Bramlett; and one brother, William Marks.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 7, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Shelby Chapel, with Bro. Eric McGruder officiating.

Interment will follow in Dogwood Cemetery.
