Sonja Loraine Tackett, age 59, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025 at her home in Morehouse, MO.

She was born on April 14, 1965 to David Day and Shirley Lindsey Gordon.

She was an avid reader, a wonderful cook, and was quite an animal lover. She was passionate about advocating for animals. She enjoyed spending time with family and is going to be greatly missed.

Sonja was a member of the Morehouse Assembly of God.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years Kenneth Eugene Tackett; her mother, Shirley Lindsey Gordon; one brother Cecil Lindsey; three sisters, Jennifer Robinson, Polly Ann, and Denise Ann Day; and she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father David Day she is preceded in death by two brothers, James and Rodger Lindsey.

There are no services scheduled at this time. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
