Shirley Edgar Kelly, age 87, passed away January 23, 2024 at her home in Sikeston, MO.

She was born February 9, 1936 in Anna, IL, daughter of the late James Edgar and Lilian Dillow Edgar.

She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, and an elementary teacher at Marrisa, Illinois for 25 years before retiring.

Shirley was the kindest, most selfless person. She loved her kids, her husband, and showed kindness to all.

On March 10, 1956, she was married to Robert Kelly, he survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Rick (Doris) Kelly of Ridgecrest, CA and Larry (Rita) Kelly of Sikeston, MO; one daughter, Linda (Gene) Boling of Monroe, MI; one brother, Robert (Ruth Ann) Edgar of Sparta, IL; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dwain Edgar.

There will be a private memorial service held at the First United Methodist Church.
