Shirley Fann, age 74 of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023.  She was born August 5, 1949, in Dorena, Missouri, to the late Claude Junior Brown and Onieta Simmons Brown.  She was employed over thirty years by DAEOC and was serving as director of the local office when she retired.  She later was employed as a caseworker for Missouri Division of Family Services for several years.  Shirley enjoyed working in her yard and was an avid Yahtzee player.  She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On May 20, 2006, in East Prairie, she married Charles Wayne Fann, who survives of the home.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; one daughter, Robin Pastori (Stacy Linhart) of Dexter, Missouri; grandson, Kyle (Ashley) Jackson of East Prairie and their children, Alex, Zaiden, Kaizen and Kyleah; granddaughter, Kayla Linhart of Tampa, Florida; brother, Jearl Brown of Dexter; stepson, Adam (Michelle) Fann of Dallas, Texas, and their children, Jenn and Dylan; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, Amanda Beth, Jeremy, Arienne, Poppy Jane, Willow and Lylah; along with other extended family members and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her only son, Michael Brown, who passed away June 17, 2023.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 5 – 8 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the Shelby Chapel, with Bro. Martin Lucas officiating.

Interment will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Adam Fann, Harris Fann, Shawn McWilliams, Jeff Byrge, Gordon Jones and Rob Goodwin.
