Shirley Raymond Cornwell, age 84, passed away July 27, 2022 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO.

He was born September 4, 1937 in East Prairie, Missouri, son of the late Raymond and Helen Jackson Cornwell.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 24 years of service. He was a member of the V.F.W. and Elks Lodge. He enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds in his backyard, going to the local dirt racetracks, watching his favorite baseball team the St Louise Cardinals, and spending time with his friends and family.

On July 13, 1971 he married Brigitte Mohr Cornwell, she survives of the home in East Prairie.

Other survivors include three daughters; Kathy Harr of Abingdon Virginia; Karen Searles of Woodriver IL and Monica Cornwell of Germany, two sons; Steve Cornwell of East Prairie and Kenny Cornwell of Arnold, Missouri; three sisters, Donna Joyce Munoz, Joan Burdell, and Fostine Fischer, all of California; six grandchildren; Aaron Harr, Jacob Harr, Lindsey Cornwell, Melissa Jones, Allen Searles, and Daniel Searles; and three great-grandchildren. His brother Larry Gene Cornwell and sister Helen Fern Easley of East Prairie Mo. predeceased him.

Private Inurnment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Missouri under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
