Shelby Rena
Perrien
March 18, 1994 – June 29, 2025
Shelby Rena Kesler-Perrien, age 31, of Blodgett, Missouri, passed to her heavenly home on June 29, 2025.
She was born March 18, 1994, to Chad Kesler and Becky Graham in Sikeston, MO.
On July 3, 2019, she married the love of her life Jeremy Perrien.
Shelby was a 2012 graduate of Scott County Central High School. She worked for JC Penny as a Beauty Manger and was the Secretary for the Scott County Rural Fire Protection District.
Shelby was, above all, a devoted mother. Her love for her children was both profound and fierce. She served as the cornerstone of her family. She was a fire wife through and through. She delighted in gardening, working in the yard, fishing, and traveling—endeavors that allowed her to spend cherished time with her children and her husband. Shelby had a passion for music; her infectious smile and vibrant personality often drew others to the dance floor. She loved karaoke and concerts, where she would sing wholeheartedly. Her generosity was boundless, always eager to help others. Additionally, she had a keen interest in photography and was an exceptional cook.
Including her husband and parents Shelby is survived by her five children, Bennett Roberts, Owynn Roberts, Kesler Roberts, Lydia Perrien, and Jace Perrien; three brothers, Ethan (Diana) Jones, Lane Kesler, and Tristin Kesler; grandparents, Rebecca Kesler and Marvin and Lisa Graham; uncle, Eric (Kim) Kesler; aunt, Kristen (Derek) Long; five cousins, Kambry, Dreyton, Brett (Moriah), Drake (Taylor), and Hailey (Brenton); three wonderful sister-in-laws who were more like sisters, Teresa Sailors, Stephanie Taylor, and Misty Keene; and a plethora of friends, family, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gary Kesler; grandmother, Connie Graham; one aunt, Christie Kesler, and two uncles, Scott Graham and Jason Evans.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 6, beginning at 12:00 noon until the time of services at 3:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO. Jason Davis will be officiating the service.
Interment will be at Blodgett Cemetery in Blodgett, MO; under an oak tree facing east so she can watch every beautiful sunrise.
Pallbearers will be Chad Kesler, Eric Kesler, Lane Kesler, Justin Gordon, Shane Washburn, and Tom Grant.
Honorary pallbearers are Tristin Kesler and Ethan Jones.
