Sharon Lou Landon Golightly, age 74, passed away December 24, 2023 at her home in Benton, Missouri.

She was born December 17, 1949 in Evansville, Indiana, daughter of the late John W. Landon and Lillie B. Spires Landon.

Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family and camping at both Lake Wappapello and Castor River.

She was married to Lee F. Golightly, he preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son, James Dale Groves of Benton, Missouri; one daughter, Carla Mae (Harry G.) Linebaugh of Benton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Leah (Jason) Springer and Alan McKnight both of Benton, Missouri; and four great-grandchildren, Tara Springer, James Springer,  Elijah McKnight and Samuel McKnight.

In addition to her husband and parents, Sharon was preceded in death by one son, Roger Dale Groves Jr.; and one sister, Rosetta DeLong.

Friends may call Friday, December 29, from 12 noon until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, Missouri. Benny DeLong will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery at Dogwood, Missouri.
