Sharon Venita Dean, age 74, passed away October 3, 2025, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, MO.

Sharon was born on February 9, 1951, in St. Louis, MO, to the late Archie and Josephine Grill Dean.

Sharon worked at the Community Shelter Workshop for many years until her retirement. She had several duties, one being on the cleaning crew for rest areas. She also worked in the dietary department at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in her earlier years.

A member of the First Baptist Church in Sikeston, Sharon loved going to worship. She enjoyed attending galas, such as Night to Shine. Sharon loved a good party, and you could always expect her to be on the dance floor.

In her pastimes, Sharon liked to work on word search puzzles. She also enjoyed shopping and making potholders. She took pride in her ability to take care of her flowers and plants. Most of all, Sharon loved spending time with her sister Venita.

Sharon is survived by one sister, Venita Dean and many friends and caretakers.

Visitation will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Glen Cantrell will officiate.

A private interment with the funeral home only will follow at Mounds Park Cemetery in New Madrid, MO. Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
