Scott Adam Essary, age 41, a resident of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born August 24, 1982, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to Melissa Self Triplett and Kenneth Essary. He was a graduate of Charleston High School. He enjoyed fishing and camping, working on small engines, and barbequing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

On February 13, 2007, in Charleston, he married Amanda Mallette, who survives  of the home.

Survivors also include his mother, Melissa Triplett and James Triplett of East Prairie; his father, Kenneth Essary and Pam Essary of Anniston; one son, Cody "Tubbs" Essary of the home, two daughters, Allison Essary and Abby Essary; two brothers, Andy Essary of East Prairie and Chris Essary of Morley; one sister, Kylie Brown of Matthews; a nephew he was raising as his own, James "Bubby" Doss, who was nicknamed "neph-son"; his mother-in-law, Faith Owen of the home, who loved him as a son; his brother-in-law, William Doss, Jr. of Sikeston; and a special niece and nephew, Jordan Essary and Drew Essary.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Charles and Nadine Self, and John and Betty Essary.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m.at First Church of God in East Prairie, with Pastor Dawn Walters officiating.

Interment will follow at Dogwood Cemetery.
