Ruth Geraldine Yates, age 79, passed away December 29, 2025 at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, MO.

She was born June 30, 1946 in Sikeston, MO, daughter of the late Roy and Opal Yates.

Ruth was a member of The Sanctuary Pentecostal Church and had worked for Sikeston Sheltered Workshop.  She enjoyed collecting baby dolls and watching television, especially Little House on the Prairie and Westerns.  She loved working puzzles and going to church.  She loved her church and her Sheltered Workshop.

She is survived by one brother, Allen Yates; one sister, Nora (Mike) McGee; nieces and nephews, Sandy (Nicole), Virginia (Kris), David (Laura), Rich, Johnie (Christina), and Jimmy (Brandy); and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

There will be a memorial service held at a later date.  Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
