Ruth Yvonne Hopper, age 79, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, at her home in East Prairie, MO.  She was born March 11, 1945, in Graves County, KY, to the late Marion Otto Thomas and Daisy Irene Thomas.  She owned and operated a semi-truck business along with her husband, James.  In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and sewing.

On May 10, 1986, in East Prairie, she married James Hopper, who survives of the home.

Ruth is also survived by one son, Donald Parker of East Prairie; three daughters, Melondee Parker of Glenwood, IA, Michelle Parker of East Prairie, and Jamie Hopper Bowers of Seattle, WA; two brothers, Billy Joe Thomas and Marion Lee Thomas, both of East Prairie; and three sisters, Virginia Hedgecoth of Porterville, CA, and Charlotte Thomas and Christine Thomas, both of East Prairie.  Also surviving are four grandsons, Donald Joe Parker, Jr., Charles Robert Parker, III, Darrell James Parker, and Brandon Parker; and three great grandchildren, Chloe Parker, Bentley Parker, and Otto Parker.

She was preceded in death by one son, Charles Parker; one infant daughter, Monica Parker; three brothers, Gerald Bee Thomas, Anthony Wayne Thomas, and David Lynn Thomas; and one sister, Glenda Jackson.

No public services are scheduled.
