Russell Webster Austin, age 93, passed away October 19, 2023 at his home in Bertrand, Missouri.

He was born January 31, 1930 in Zalma, Missouri, son of the late Harvey Ray Austin and Francis Ollie Lumen-Austin.

Russell was a member of the Jehovah's Witness where he was an Elder. He helped to organize the foundation of congregations and was very strong in his congregation. He owned and operated Sunshine Cleaning for 25 years before retiring and enjoyed gardening and reading.

On May 18, 1950 in St. Louis County, Missouri, he married Sarah Ann June Soots-Austin, she preceded him in death March 22, 2022.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Renee Elaine Gable; three brothers, Raymond Dennis (Louise) Austin, Harold Archibald (Deloris) Austin, and Kenneth Euguene (Sandra) Austin.

Survivors include three daughters, Diana Lavern (Paul) Hafley, LaVena Denise (Wayne Thomas) Ihms, and Lisa Karen (Joe Bentley) Hill; one son, Ross Daren (Cynthia) Austin; one sister, Sherrie Ann (Allan James) Pitt of Fredericktown, Missouri; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
