Obituary

Ruby Mae Parks, age 87, passed away August 20, 2021 at her residence in Sikeston, Missouri.

She was born September 12, 1933 in Kewanee, Missouri, daughter of the late Forrest E. and Nora V. Taylor.

She was of the Pentecostal faith, a member of the American Legion Henry Meldrum Post Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Sikeston Eagles.  She had worked as a cook for Sikeston Public Schools before retiring.

On March 25, 2006 in Sikeston, she married Enos Parks, Sr. who survives of the home in Sikeston.

Other survivors include two brothers, Robert Taylor and Pete Taylor; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by one son, Doyle W. Curry, Jr.; one daughter, Bonita Jarvis; six brothers, Thomas J. Taylor, John L. Taylor, Lonnie E. Taylor, Forrest R. Taylor, Alvin Taylor, and Losson Taylor; and five sisters, Ollie H. Taylor Greer, Mary Lou Taylor Hare, Virginia Taylor Craddock, Velva Taylor, and Coleane Taylor Hada.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 25, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.  Pastor Jimmy Allen will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
