Roy Junior Tidwell, age 73, passed away May 10, 2022 at his home near Morley, Missouri.

He was born June 8, 1948 in Fayette County, Alabama, son of the late Bersie Lee Tidwell and Claire May Tucker Tidwell.

Roy worked in maintenance for Lone Star Industries (Buzzi Unicem USA) in Cape Girardeau, Missouri for 39 years before retiring. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On July 18, 1970 he married Karen Sue Sturgeon, who preceded him in death on April 17, 2012.

He is survived by one daughter, Sheila Kay Graham of Morley, Missouri; one brother, Gene Arthur Tidwell; three sisters, Donna Tidwell, Charmain van Ryswyk, and Faye Krauss; two grandchildren, Amber Boley and Brittney Kitchen; and four great-grandchildren, Autumn Boley, Noah Boley, Brock Williams, and Elysha Anwar.

In addition to his wife and parents, Roy was preceded in death by one brother, James Hollis Tidwell (Cub); and five sisters, Anne Evans, Bonnie Ditto, Hassie Sweet, Mary Crowe, and Marty Holt.

There will be a private graveside service held at later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Ponder Funeral Home Sikeston MO.
