Ron Barnes, age 72, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at his home in Sikeston, MO.

On October 27, 1952, in Sikeston, MO, he was born to the late Paul Edward and Bernice Bohannon Barnes.

On July 19, 1975, in Sikeston, MO, he married the love of his life Mary Waldman, whom he shared his life with for the last forty-nine years.

Ronnie was the Co-owner of C & K Building Materials for many years before his retirement. He was a member of the Sikeston Masonic Lodge #310 and the Semo Shriners. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sikeston, MO.

In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by one daughter Heather (Keith) Sapp of Sikeston, MO; two sons: Nick Barnes of Sikeston, MO, and Chris (Staci) Barnes of Sikeston, MO;  two brothers: Donnie ( Marilyn) Barnes of Sikeston, MO and Paul Barnes Jr. of Canalou, MO; and one sister Kay ( John) Seiler of Sikeston, MO; four grandchildren: John, Ben, and Hailey Barnes and Kari Sapp all of Sikeston, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Tressie Drew.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 11:00 am until the funeral hour at 1:00 pm at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO, with Pastor Glenn Cantrell, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Sikeston officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Andy Barnes, Paul Barnes III, Greg Barnes, Rick Fladung, Jimmy Drake, and Tyler Leek.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories in Sikeston, MO.
