Roger Dale Groves, age 81 of Benton, MO, passed away May 11, 2025 at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau, MO.

He was born July 5, 1943 in Bertrand, MO, son of the late Arnold and Lela Groves. He had worked as a farmer before retiring.

Survivors include one son, James Dale Groves of Benton, Missouri; two daughters, DeLisa Groves of Malden, MO and Carla Mae (Harry G.) Linebaugh of Benton, Missouri; one brother, Jimmy Groves; three grandchildren, Leah (Jason) Springer, Alan McKnight, and Jaden Groves; and four great-grandchildren, Tara Springer, James Springer, Elijah McKnight and Samuel McKnight.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by one son, Roger Dale Groves Jr.; two brothers, Lowell Groves and A.J. Groves; and one sister, Mary Garrett.
