Robert Lewis Taylor was born April 23, 1957 to the parents of Hosie Lee Taylor, Sr. and Bertha Mae Taylor of Oran, Missouri.

Robert departed this earthly life on August 25, 2021 at 03:03 a.m. He is preceded in death by his father, Hosie Lee Taylor, Sr.; mother, Bertha Mae Taylor; three sisters, Annie Lee Pullen, Glenda Sue Taylor, and Ruthie Mae Robinson.

Robert graduated from Oran High School in Oran, Missouri. He later moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where he attended Union College. His passions in life were basketball, art, and football. He spent most of his adult life in Lincoln, Nebraska before moving back to Sikeston, Missouri.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Robert Taylor, Jr. and Isaiah Taylor; one daughter, Latisha Burrell (Geneo); one grandson, Ezra Burrell; and one granddaughter, Eva Rose Burrell, all of Lincoln, NE; five sisters, Margaret Jones (Roosevelt) of St. Louis, MO, Velma Williams of Dexter, MO, Thelma Norman (Glenn) of St. Louis MO, Debra Taylor of Memphis, TN, and Sanoria Taylor of Sikeston, MO; four brothers, Hosie Lee Taylor, Jr. (Joe Ann) of Edgemont, IL, Carl Taylor (Cynthia) of Fairfield, CA, Paul Taylor (Jodella) of Fairfield, CA, and Willie Taylor (Karrie) of Vanduser, MO; one aunt, Ida Lane of Cape Girardeau, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Due to cremation, a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
