Rickie Lee Vines, age 68, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, at his home in East Prairie, Missouri.  He was born July 10, 1955, in Wolf Island, Missouri, to the late Lloyd Vines and Dorothy Hedges Vines.  He was employed many years as an over -the- road truck driver.  He enjoyed working on old vehicles and loved classic cars.  He was most happy when spending time with his grandkids, especially teaching them to fish and hunt.  He was of Pentecostal belief.

He married Janet Walker in East Prairie in 1982; she survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Doye (Michele) Smith of Dexter, Missouri, Bobby Lee (Dee) Vines of Wichita, Kansas and Kingston Barndkin of East Prairie; five daughters, Robin Walker (Horry Hill) of Sanderson, Texas, Crystal Vines Oakley of East Prairie, and Sanna Young of East Prairie, Lydia Valencia and Selena Valencia, both of East Prairie; one son-in-law, Gary Perez of Ozona, Texas; one sister, Melody Parker of Jackson, Missouri; 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren, with another to join the family in December.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Shannon Perez; one brother, Michael Vines; and one sister, Donna Jean Mitchell.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.  Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie is in charge of all arrangements.
