Rickie Raye Hampton, age 66, passed away July 10, 2025 at his home surrounded by loving family in Sikeston, MO.
He was born December 27, 1958 in Sikeston, MO, son of the late Wesley Eugene Hampton and Susan Pearline Couch-Hampton.
Rickie was a member of Millersville Christ Gospel Church; he was worship leader for many years. He was manager of Kitchen Collections for 21 years and Alderman for the City of Miner. He enjoyed collecting antiques, marbles, coins, and kerosene lamps. He liked playing volleyball.
He sheltered his family and was a provider. He was an amazing PawPaw and loved his kids and grandkids. He always looked nice and wanted to smell good. He loved playing cards and family games, and he was a jokester.
He was married to Janet McRoy-Hampton for 48 years; she survives of the home in Sikeston.
Other survivors include two daughters, Amanda Hampton and Jennifer (Michael) Brittain; grandchildren, Jordan (Ana), Hannah, Maria (Hailey), Cameron (Tia), Hallie, Heath, and Londyn; great-grandchildren, Emilee, Tulsa and Arabella; bonus grandchildren, Alex, Sophia, Paul, Henry, and many more; one brother, Mikey (Tammy) Hampton; two sisters, Sharon Bailey and Joyce (Doug) Neuhalfen; and one sister-in-law, Lois Hampton.
In addition to his parents, Rickie was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Hampton and Charlie Hampton; his twin sister, Vickie Hampton; one great-grandson, Tucson Ray; one brother-in-law, Harvey Bailey; and one sister-in-law, Linda Hampton.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 14, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Millersville Christ Gospel Church in Millersville, MO. Chris Deegear will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Sikeston Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Barton, Cameron Barton, Heath McCain II, Michael Brittain, Chris Northern, Josh Northern, Dalton Smith, and Blatin Smith. Honorary pallbearer, Gene Newell.
Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
