Richard Henry "Richie" Gregory, Jr., age 55, formerly of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at his home in Dexter, Missouri.  He was born July 4, 1968, in Sikeston, Missouri, to the late Richard Henry Gregory, Sr. and Sherrie Anne Gregory.  He worked on the riverboat for over 36 years and was employed as chief engineer for Southern Duvall Towing of Memphis, Tennessee.

Richie enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Cardinals, and Nascar races.  He loved drinking and having a good time.

On June 28, 2022, he married the love of his life, Diana Hubbard, who survives of the home.

Also left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Christy (Terry) Duty of East Prairie and Chasity (Kyle) Ditto of East Prairie; two sons, Cody (McKinzie) Gregory of Calvert City, Kentucky and Casey (Alexus) Gregory of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one stepson, Tristan Hubbard of East Prairie; one sister, Dottie Davidson of East Prairie; two brothers, Todd (Sonya) Gregory of East Prairie and Wayne (Julie) Rothgeb of Arnold, Missouri; sister-in-law, Julie Brooks; and brother-in-law, Brian (Fran) Hubbard.  Also surviving are his grandchildren, Faith "Liz", Little Terry "Bubba", River "Tadpole", Ila "Smiley", Kylianne "Sweet Pea", Kadyanne "Chickmonk", and Garlynn; nephews, Chris (and Jess), Ethan, Austin, Jenn, and Joey; and great niece, Madison.

In addition to his parents, Richie was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Paul Davidson; and one niece, Deanna "Dee".

Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2023, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral services will be­­­­­ held Tuesday, November 21, 2023, ­­­at 1 p.m. in the Shelby Chapel, with Bro. Martin Lucas officiating.

Interment will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Glen Henry, Dwight Rogers, Chris Davidson, Terry Duty, Kyle Ditto, Gordon Bradley, and Robert Hinkle.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Hubbard, Tristan Hubbard, Cody Gregory and Casey Gregory.
