Obituary

Richard Lee Bell, age 83 of Charleston, MO, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at St. Louis University Hospital.  He was born November 22, 1941, in Mississippi County, MO, to the late John Samuel Bell and Maggie Earline Britt Bell. He spent his life as a printer, a business owner and a farmer.  Richard was a member of the Assembly of God Church in East Prairie.  He was a man who deeply cared about his family.

On April 1, 1966, in Trumann, AR, he married Sharon Bilyeu, who survives of the home.

In 1977 Richard and Sharon started CB Forms, Inc. He stated many times he had three supporters, Sharon, his dad John Bell and God.  It became one of the top printing companies in the country, providing computer forms for customers from the White House and all departments of the government to offices of the Twin Towers of New York.

Also surviving are two sons, Scott (Kathy) Bell of East Prairie and Todd (Diane) Bell of Waco, TX; one sister, Nancy Sue Poe of East Prairie; five grandchildren, Scott "Buddy" Bell II, Aaron Lee Bell, T.J. Bell, Elizabeth Lina and Brittany McConnell; and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 31, 2025, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 1 p.m. in the Shelby Chapel with Pastor David Smith officiating, assisted by Bro. George White.

Interment will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be Scott Bell, Scott Bell II, Aaron Bell, Toby Bell, Todd Bell and Mike Mirth.
