Reece C. Reeder, Jr., age 90, passed away January 9, 2022 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He was born August 4, 1931 in Sikeston, Missouri, son of the late Reece C. and Stella E. (Vangilder) Reeder.  He worked as a mechanic for General Motors before retiring.

He was married to Elsie (Brewer) Reeder, she survives of the home in Sikeston.

Other survivors include one son, Reece Lee Reeder of Sikeston; one brother, James Reeder of Fort Smith, Arkansas; one sister, Freeda Ayers of Sikeston; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Reece was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth Reeder, Carl Reeder, and Rev. John Reeder; and three sisters, Lois Reeder, Delfa Reeder, and Bernice Alsup.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 13, at 11:00 a.m. at Ponder Funeral Home.  Chaplain Phillip Tanner will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
