Ralph Jackson, age 87, passed away May 11, 2024 at his home in Sikeston, MO.
He was born April 29, 1937 in Finger, Tennessee, son of the late Grady Edward Jackson and Maggie Leodi Tucker-Jackson.
Ralph was a member of the Discover Life Church in Sikeston. He worked at Raben Tire for 50 years before retiring in 2023, where he was the Manager from 1988 to 2009. Ralph was the first face you saw at the counter when entering Raben Tire.
He was an avid sports fan – he loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals, Mizzou, LSU, and Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and attending fish fry's.
He was married to Ellen Tiffany Greathouse-Jackson, she survives of the home in Sikeston.
Other survivors include one son, Dean Aldridge of Conover, WI; three daughters, Stacy (Lance) Learue of Cape Girardeau, MO, Carrie (Larry) Carbo of Geismer, LA, and Sheri Jackson of West Memphis, AR; one sister, Barbara Roark of Poplar Bluff, MO; five grandchildren, Nicholas (Leah) Sims of Prairieville, LA, Stephanie Collins of Prairieville, LA, Lydia (Chris) Carnell of Cape Girardeau, MO, Shelby (Matt) Lincoln of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Sydney Hoppe of Cape Girardeau, MO; eight great-grandchildren, Mary Claire Carbo of Prairieville, LA, Ginny Hoppe of Cape Girardeau, MO, Camille Collins of Prairieville, LA, Jasen Lincoln of Cape Girardeau, MO, Gracen Hoppe of Cape Girardeau, MO, Sarah Sims of Prairieville, LA, Sammy Sims of Prairieville, LA, and Jolene Lincoln of Cape Girardeau, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by one daughter, Tiffany Kristine Jackson; four brothers, Carlos Jackson, W. T. Jackson, Max L. Jackson, and Joe Neal Jackson; and one sister, MaeNell Cates.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Thursday, May 16, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Discover Life Church. Justin Pobst will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Bidewell, Jordan Bidewell, Matthew Burton, Matthew Lincoln, Graham Reid, and Isaac Reid.
In lieu of flowers, the Jackson family request memorials be sent to Discover Life Church, 1317 N Main St., Sikeston MO 63801.
