Phyllis Ann Hester, age 69, passed away on August 19, 2025, in Jackson, Tennessee.

She was born December 12, 1955 in Advance, MO to the late Robert "RF" and Laura Neldon Lane.

On November 21, 1986, she married Robert Hester, who preceded her in death on December 12, 2023.

Phyllis was loving in her own way. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, watching tv, shopping, and painting. She enjoyed art and animals. She also liked playing games and cards, specifically backgammon.

Phyllis is survived by two sons, Travis Hester of Bradfort, TN, and Matthew Hester of Portland, OR; one daughter, Cole Overton (Kyle Conner) of Centerville, TN; three sisters, Nadine Sindle of Bloomfield, MO, Mary (Bill) Brown of Jackson, MO, and Judy Burton of Morely, MO; three grandchildren, Anwar Overton of Centerville, TN, Rex (James) Hooper of Union City, TN, and Karina Barnes of Martin, TN; one great-grandchild, Aurelia Overton of Union, TN.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Including her parents and her husband, Phyllis is preceded in death by one brother Willard Lane.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of memorial services at 4:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO.
