Patricia Kay (Walton) Long, age 84, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at her residence.

She was born November 25, 1941 in Mississippi county, Missouri to the late Vernon Madison and Ruby Pearl Walton.

Patricia was an employee of Brown Shoe for many, many years and lived in East Prairie, Mo until 1981 when she then moved to their farm in Bloomfield, MO. Pat loved East Prairie and fondly called it home. She loved being with family, reading, crafting, quilting, and finding a good bargain.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Anderson and Vernon (Bud) Walton.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Edward Long; one daughter, Angela Ford (Jeff) of Nixa, MO; one grandson, Michael Ford (Tiffany) of Springfield, MO; and one granddaughter, Michaela (Ford) Smith (Matthew) of Jefferson City, MO. She is also survived by one sister, Carolyn Walton of East Prairie, MO and one brother, Kenneth Walton (Dianna) of East Prairie.

Visitation will be Monday, August 3, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. at Caudle-Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, MO. Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood, MO.
