Obituary

Patricia Ann 'Patti' Perry, age 81, passed away January 8, 2026 at the New Madrid Living Center in New Madrid, MO.

She was born July 2, 1944 in Granite City, IL, daughter of the late Neal McGehee and Nadine Goza-McGehee.

She worked as a Medical Technician at many nursing homes over 40 plus years before retiring. She was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, crossword puzzles, reading, and drawing. She loved game nights with her kids and grandkids with her vinyl record player always playing. She loved helping people and cheering people up.

She is survived by one daughter, Kresla Hawkins; one son-in-law, Michael G. Hawkins; four grandchildren, Mikaela Hawkins, Kathryn Hawkins, Erynn Hawkins, and Damian Morrison; and two great-grandchildren, Makenzy Thompson and Brooklynne Hall.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 14, from 12:00 noon until time of celebration of life services at 2:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO. John Netteler will be officiating the services.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie, MO.

Pallbearers will be Michael G Hawkins, Eric Curd, Malachi Motta, Elijah Motta, Frank Cowell, and Dennis Shade.
