Obituary

Paige Alexis Buchanan, age 23, passed away at her home in Malden, Missouri, on July 19, 2026.

She was born on December 23, 2002, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to Kevin (Angela Shakles) McWhirter and Amanda Wheelis (Paul) Sherwood.

Paige was a compassionate and caring person who dedicated much of her life to helping others. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in area nursing facilities and most recently was employed by Harps Grocery in Malden, Missouri. A 2020 graduate of Sikeston High School, Paige was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for those around her.

Above all else, Paige was a devoted mother. Her children were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Whether playing together, sharing laughter, or simply holding them close, she poured all the love in her heart into Bella, Brantley, Sierra, Daxton, Berkley, and Everleigh. They were her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

Paige was also a talented artist who found joy in expressing her creativity. She enjoyed working in her garden, where she found peace and happiness surrounded by nature.

In addition to her parents and her beloved children, Paige is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, friends, and coworkers who will forever cherish her memory. Her passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, and she will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Caudle Funeral Home in Sikeston, Missouri. Interment will follow at Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood, Missouri.
