Oliver Lee-Hunter Chism arrived in this world peacefully sleeping September 10, 2024, at 12:28 a.m. at St. Francis Medical Center.  He weighed 7 lbs., 1 oz. and was 20 ¼" long.  His family loved him instantly and wholly.  They were especially fond of the reddish tint he had to his hair that matched his mom and dad's.  Having his mom's cheeks and his dad's nose, he was a beautiful blend of his parents.

While he was little, his impact on our world was large.  He has left us with bigger hearts and more love than we could have ever known.

Oliver was born into a large and loving family.

His proud and adoring parents are Devin Chism and Alissa Tatum of East Prairie.  He was their first son.  His paternal grandparents are Tony and Misty Chism of East Prairie.  His maternal grandparents are Julie Tatum and Colin and Amy Grissom, all of East Prairie.  Additional family members include his uncles, Connor Williams, Lucas Grissom and Brett Chism; aunts, Montana Day, Paige Chism, Kensley Day and Hadley Grissom; great grandparents, Gene and Kim Watson of East Prairie, Judy Tatum and Kevin Lee of Anniston, Bill and Michelle Tatum of Sikeston, and Keith and Jennifer Grissom of East Prairie.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Gary and Pat Chism and Debbie Barnes.

Oliver's family will honor him with a private and personal service.  He will later be laid to rest alongside his Grandma Tootie, who held a very special place in his mom's heart.

Pallbearers will be Tony Chism and Colin Grissom.  Honorary pallbearers will be Connor Williams, Lucas Grissom, Brett Chism, Landon Housman, Gaige Gifford, Bill Tatum, Gene Watson, Billy Myers, Brandon Patrick, and Keith Grissom.
