Ned Edward Dixon, age 79, passed away May 10, 2026, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO.

He was born March 3, 1947 in Sidon, MS, son of the late Lige Phiffer and Emma Mae Dixon.

Ned had worked as a Tire Repairman for Homestead before retiring. He enjoyed watching Westerns, working on the farm, going on drives, going for drives and buying ice cream, and playing baseball with his kids.

He is survived by his wife, Pearlie Moore; two sons, Roger Moore and Anthony Lee; three daughters, Stephanie Gibson, Lashonda Lee, and Karen (Leo) Taylor; five brothers, Willie Phiffer, Johnny Phiffer, Kenny Phiffer, Calvin Phiffer, and Lester Phiffer; seven sisters, Estelle Grimes, Earnestine Phiffer, Delois Phiffer, Eloise Phiffer, Mary Phiffer, Stacey Phiffer, Dorothy Bishop, and Penny Bishop; 17 grandchildren; and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family.

In addition to his parents, Ned was preceded in death by his second mother, who also raised him, Pearlie Mae Phiffer; five brothers, Ed Dixon, Robert Lee Dixon, Ben Earl Dixon, Clevland Phiffer, and Odell Phiffer; and four sisters, Mamie Phiffer, Diane Phiffer, Bertha Johnson and Viola Phiffer.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 22, from 3:00 p.m. until time of funeral services at 4:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Minister Dwayne Bratcher Sr. will officiate.
