Nancy Carol Kumlien, age 67, formerly of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the home of her grandson Marcus in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  She was born October 6, 1955, in Sikeston, Missouri to the late Charles Clayton Kumlien and Eula Jean Adkins Kumlien.  Nancy was a homemaker and an avid quilter.  She also loved to sew and play Bingo.

Nancy is survived by two sons, Clay (Beverly) Tidwell of East Prairie and Nathan Tidwell of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Aimee Huckaby of Chaffee, Missouri; and two sisters, Diane Crook of Doniphan, Missouri and Peggy Pipkin of New Madrid, Missouri.  Also surviving are five grandchildren, Marcus Huckaby, Brittany Matheney, Austin Huckaby, Mason Tidwell and Dakota Tidwell; three great grandchildren, Lachlan Williams, Fletcher Matheney, Newton-Tyler Matheney, and one great grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her partner of 33 years, Ed McLemore; her parents; and one sister, Jane Roby.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 12, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Graveside service will follow at 1:15 p.m. at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
