Michael Lawrence Skaggs, age 79, a resident of Cotton Point Living Center in Matthews, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.  He was born July 27, 1944, in Cairo, Illinois, to the late Ray Skaggs and Robbie Ester Bradfield Skaggs, and had been employed as a deckhand for many years.  He also enjoyed spending his time woodworking.

He was married to Doris Ann Skaggs, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Robbie LaCody Skaggs of Sikeston; one brother, Phillip Skaggs of Chester, Illinois; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Ray Skaggs; and one sister, Billie Jean Frazee.

Services will be private with burial at Armer Cemetery near Bertrand, Missouri.
