Whitney

Mary Patricia Whitney, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister. Her friends called her "Patty", passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at her home in Willow Springs, Missouri at the age of 65 years.
Ms. Whitney (I) was born Mary Patricia Mansfield in St. Louis, Missouri on January 29, 1957, to James (Buck) and Mary Mansfield. I was the second child of five.
In 1977, I left home and moved to Wichita, Kansas, where I met the love of my life, Don Whitney. In 1978, in Phoenix, Arizona Don and I were married. Of that union we had a son, Morris (Bobby) Roy Whitney, who was born July 22, 1983.
I'm survived by son Morris (Bobby) Whitney and wife Miriam of Omaha, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Bella Whitney and Dallas Whitney, both of Omaha, Nebraska; two sisters, Deborah Mansfield of Mountain View, Missouri and Janice Anderson of Willow Springs, Missouri; one brother, James Mansfield Jr. and wife Sherry of Mountain View; and special friend Larry Kohout of the home.
I'm preceded in death by husband Don Whitney; my granddaughter Star Whitney; my parents, James (Buck) and Mary Mansfield; one sister, Edna Stinn; and one sister-in-law, Ranae Mansfield.
My favorite things to do were cooking, doing my hobbies, and fishing.
They say if you write your own obituary then you'll have the last word, so I did.
I want ALL my family to know I loved you with all my Heart and Soul. Please take care of each other today, cuz 'TOMORROW IS NOT PROMISED". Debbie, you're the oldest now. I love you.
I also wanted to say so that everyone knows I have two very special sisters. Debbie, thanks for being there anytime I needed you. Don't know what I would have done without you. And Janice, thanks for taking care of me in my final days, you did a darn good job. LOVE YOU BOTH VERY MUCH……….From Patty
